Journal Objectives
Advances in Tropical Biodiversity and Environmental Sciences (ATBES) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing and disseminating scientific knowledge in tropical biodiversity and environmental sciences worldwide. The journal aims to:
- Publish high-quality, original research that advances the understanding of tropical biodiversity and environmental systems;
- Provide a scholarly platform for researchers across disciplines to share findings relevant to tropical regions;
- Bridge fundamental and applied science to support sustainable management and conservation of tropical ecosystems;
- Make scientific knowledge freely accessible to the global community through open-access publication;
- Encourage interdisciplinary approaches integrating biological, ecological, environmental, and social sciences;
- Strengthen scientific capacity and scholarly exchange within and beyond the tropics.
Publication Frequency
Three issues are published annually:
- February
- June
- October
Each issue contains a minimum of six articles.
Scope of the Journal
