Copyright Policy
Upon acceptance for publication in Advances in Tropical Biodiversity and Environmental Sciences (ATBES), authors retain copyright of their work. Authors grant the journal the right to publish, distribute, and make the work available in electronic and print formats under the terms specified below. This allows authors to reuse and share their work while ensuring long-term preservation and wide dissemination through the journal.
Authors confirm that the manuscript is original, does not infringe upon the copyright or other rights of any third party, and all co-authors have approved submission. Where material from other copyrighted sources is included, authors are responsible for obtaining written permission from the copyright holder and acknowledging the source appropriately.
Licensing Terms
All published articles in ATBES are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). This means:

Author Rights
Authors are permitted and encouraged to:
- Share the published article on personal websites, institutional repositories, or academic social networks immediately upon publication;
- Include the published version in thesis or dissertation collections;
- Reproduce figures or tables in their own subsequent publications, with proper citation;
- Present findings publicly and use materials in educational settings.
In all cases, users must cite the original publication in ATBES with full bibliographic details including DOI where available.

Permission for Commercial Use
For any use of the work for commercial purposes, or for republication in works distributed for profit, permission must be obtained from the corresponding author or copyright holder. The journal may facilitate such requests upon notification.
Retraction and Correction Policy
Copyright and distribution rights may be withdrawn and an article retracted if publication is found to have involved research misconduct, plagiarism, or other ethical violations. Retracted articles remain accessible online with a clear notice of retraction.
