Jurnal Riset dan Aplikasi Teknik Industri Udayana upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. All submitted manuscripts are required to be original, unpublished, and free from plagiarism.
Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism is the act of presenting another person's work—ideas, data, words, figures, or findings—as one’s own without proper acknowledgment. Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

Copying text or results from other sources without citation

Paraphrasing substantial portions of another work without credit

Submitting another author’s manuscript as one’s own

Self-plagiarism (reusing one’s own previously published material without proper citation or justification)
Screening Process
All manuscripts submitted to this journal will undergo a plagiarism screening process using reliable plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate, or similar tools) as part of the initial editorial check.

Manuscripts with a similarity index above 25% will be automatically returned to authors for revision or rejection, depending on the severity.

Direct copying without quotation marks or attribution will not be tolerated, regardless of percentage.
Editorial Action on Detected Plagiarism
If plagiarism is detected at any stage—before or after publication—the editorial team will take the following actions based on severity:

Minor | Small portions copied, properly cited but not formatted | Author requested to revise |
Moderate | Unattributed copying/paraphrasing, but not substantial | Manuscript returned or rejected |
Severe | Major sections plagiarized or entirely copied | Manuscript rejected or published article retracted |
In cases of proven plagiarism after publication, the article may be formally retracted, and authors may be blacklisted from future submission to the journal.
