ANALISIS KESALAHAN BERBAHASA INDONESIA DALAM TULISAN

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the Indonesian language writing learning of BIPA Unud level 1 students, primarily based on test results in the form of student writing. In this study, only linguistic elements/aspects can be analyzed, namely paragraphs, sentences, words, and mechanical aspects (spelling). Errors include changes that occur in the form of omissions, additions, changes in form, and sequence. Using the Error Analysis theory by Keshavarz (2011) and assisted by an assessment rubric, an in-depth study was conducted to identify, classify, and analyze errors made by language learners. The data consisted of 10 texts written by BIPA level 1 students from 5 students: 2 from Japan, 2 from Europe, and 1 from Korea. The analysis found that aspects/elements of language errors were found in mechanical/spelling elements at 57.5%, followed by sentence errors at 20.5%, word errors at 16.5%, and paragraph errors at the lowest at 5.5%. The Error Review then found errors in the form of omissions, additions, substitutions, and permutations. The recommendation is to emphasize spelling/mechanics in writing lessons.
