PEMANFAATAN DIGITALISASI LONTAR PIPIL DALAM KHAZANAH FILOLOGI DIGITAL

Abstract

The advancement of digitization technology is certainly not a foreign thing in the world of traditional manuscripts in Indonesia. Lontar manuscripts are objects that are now close to the use of digital technology. Lontar itself is a written object that is used in the archipelago as a means of recording science and culture. Zoetmulder in his Kalangwan book says that it is to Bali that the Indonesian people are grateful for how the lontar manuscripts are preserved and preserved, as a repository of traditional knowledge. The lontar pipil manuscript is a lontar manuscript that contains information about land ownership in Bali. The use of pipil manuscripts in Bali is estimated to have started in the 19th century. Based on government regulation number 18 of 2021, the use of traditional certificates such as pipil, in 2026 will not be able to be used as legal land ownership. The use of digital philology is certainly very helpful in making land certificates carried out by BPN (State Land Agency). The application of digital philology was carried out by the Udayana Lontar Unit team as an effort to translate pipil manuscripts used as administrative requirements for issuing land ownership certificates. The method used in this research is the documentation method with the help of digitization techniques, besides that, translation techniques are also used in obtaining data. This research will discuss the process of digitization and translation of terms in pipil manuscripts.
