INSTAGRAM SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN SEJARAH IMPLIKASI PARADIGMA BAGI PEMBELAJARAN SEJARAH DI INDONESIA

Abstract

Instagram is one of the social media platforms that has been developed as a learning medium. Including history learning. Some articles about this effort have been written, and it can be understood that the Instagram features could be developed as a learning medium to attract students to learning history. However, there is one thing that was missed from the attention in those articles, i.e: the paradigm caused by the usage of Instagram as a history learning medium. Using a qualitative descriptive research method, these studies show that there is a paradigm shift caused by the usage of Instagram as a history lesson medium that is so far from text- oriented change to a history lesson that discourse-oriented. Instagram as social media platform makes history lessons not just interaction between teachers and students, but it is an open dialogue with the public. Therefore, the history lesson is not just about memorization but becomes an education that is critical thinking-based that aligned with the 4.0 era demands
