Evaluasi pemeliharaan lanskap jalan Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus (KEK) Tanjung Lesung, Kota Banten

The Special Road of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Tanjung Lesung serves as the main access route and plays an important role in shaping visitors’ first impressions of the area. However, the current roadside landscape shows reduced quality due to suboptimal maintenance practices. This study aims to evaluate the landscape maintenance system of the SEZ Tanjung Lesung Special Road and provide recommendations for a more efficient approach. The research applied a quantitative method with a descriptive approach through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. The evaluated aspects included sweeping, watering, fertilizing, weeding, and pruning. The results show that several maintenance activities remain ineffective, primarily due to the absence of a written schedule and imbalanced workforce distribution. The average work capacity of the maintenance staff was found to be 180.95 m²/hour/person, higher than the standard, but with uneven workload distribution. Moreover, the limited number of permanent workers (three people) assigned to cover the 2.7 km ROW 50 area has resulted in unstructured maintenance activities. Therefore, system improvements are required through the development of standard operating procedures, structured scheduling, work capacity evaluation, and staff training to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of road landscape maintenance in a sustainable manner.
