Electronic Archiving

Jurnal Arsitektur Lansekap (JAL) employs a multi-faceted approach to ensure the long-term preservation and accessibility of its content:

  • Publisher-Managed Archiving and Website Access:
    • All articles published in JAL are permanently available and accessible free of charge on the official journal website: https://ejournal1.unud.ac.id/index.php/lanskap/.
    • The website and its content are regularly backed up as part of the IT infrastructure and data management policies of Universitas Udayana.
  • Third-Party Digital Preservation Services:

o  Jurnal Arsitektur Lansekap (JAL) ensures the long-term preservation of its published content through robust, internationally recognized digital archiving services: such as PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) which utilizes the plugin available through its Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. The PKP PN provides free, decentralized, and distributed preservation, further safeguarding JAL’s content by ensuring copies are stored across multiple member libraries in the network. These measures ensure that JAL's content remains accessible and preserved under various contingency scenarios.

·       Author Self-Archiving:

    • Jurnal Arsitektur Lansekap (JAL), as an open-access journal publishing articles under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license, permits and actively encourages authors to archive and share their work to maximize its visibility and impact.
    • When self-archiving any version, authors must provide a full citation to the original publication in Jurnal Arsitektur Lansekap (JAL) and include a link to the published article on the Jurnal Arsitektur Lansekap (JAL) website using its Digital Object Identifier (DOI). The CC BY-NC-SA license terms must also be respected and clearly indicated.

·       Persistent Identifiers (DOIs):

    • All articles published in Jurnal Arsitektur Lansekap (JAL) are assigned a unique and persistent Digital Object Identifier (DOI). DOIs ensure reliable and continued access to the article's location on the internet, even if the URL structure of the journal website changes. Universitas Udayana supports the procurement of DOIs for Jurnal Arsitektur Lansekap (JAL).
