Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

1. General Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original research or scholarly papers in architecture or related disciplines.
  • The manuscript must not have been published or under review elsewhere, in print or electronic form.
  • Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian (with English abstract).
  • Manuscripts must be prepared in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) using the JA UNUD official template.

2. Submission

  • Submissions are made via the OJS system on JA UNUD’s official website.
  • Authors must include complete details: name without academic title, affiliation, correspondence address, and active email.
  • If required, one printed copy and a soft copy should be submitted in the specified format.

3. Manuscript Format
According to the JA UNUD template, technical specifications are:

  • Paper size A4 with margins: top 1.55 cm, bottom 2.45 cm, inside 2.5 cm, outside 1.5 cm.
  • Font Arial, size and style according to template (e.g., Title 11 pt bold capital, body text 10 pt, paragraph spacing 12 pt).
  • Length: 6–8 pages including figures, tables, and references.
  • Structure:
  1. Title (in Indonesian)
  2. Author(s) name, affiliation, email
  3. Abstract (in English & Indonesian, 150–200 words each)
  4. Keywords (max. 5 words)
  5. Introduction
  6. Methods
  7. Results and Discussion
  8. Conclusion and Recommendations
  9. References (APA Style, minimum 5 references, 3 of which are primary & within the last 10 years)

4. Figures and Tables

  • Figures and tables must be numbered and captioned according to the template rules.
  • Images must be high quality, clear, and legible.
  • Tables should contain concise data, without long narrative text.

5. Editorial Rights

  • The editorial board reserves the right to reject or edit manuscripts without changing the substance.
  • Manuscripts not complying with the guidelines will be returned for revision.
  • Rejected discussion manuscripts will be returned to the author for response.

6. Review Process

  • All manuscripts undergo peer review by at least two reviewers.
  • Final acceptance is based on reviewer recommendations and editorial board decisions.

1. Ketentuan Umum

  • Naskah merupakan hasil penelitian atau kajian ilmiah di bidang arsitektur atau disiplin ilmu terkait.
  • Naskah belum pernah dipublikasikan atau sedang dalam proses penilaian di media lain, baik cetak maupun elektronik.
  • Naskah ditulis dalam bahasa Indonesia (dengan abstrak bahasa Inggris).
  • Naskah dikirim dalam format Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) sesuai template resmi JA UNUD.

2. Pengiriman Naskah

  • Naskah dikirimkan melalui sistem OJS di website resmi JA UNUD.
  • Penulis menyertakan data lengkap: nama tanpa gelar, afiliasi, alamat korespondensi, dan email aktif.
  • Jika diminta, penulis dapat menyerahkan satu eksemplar cetak dan soft copy dalam format yang ditentukan.

3. Format Penulisan
Mengacu pada template JA UNUD, ketentuan teknis meliputi:

  • Ukuran kertas A4 dengan margin: atas 1,55 cm, bawah 2,45 cm, dalam 2,5 cm, luar 1,5 cm.
  • Jenis huruf Arial, ukuran dan gaya mengikuti template (misal: Judul 11 pt bold kapital, isi 10 pt, jarak antar paragraf 12 pt).
  • Panjang naskah: 6–8 halaman termasuk gambar, tabel, dan daftar pustaka.
  • Struktur naskah:
  1. Judul (Bahasa Indonesia)
  2. Nama penulis, afiliasi, email
  3. Abstrak (Bahasa Inggris & Bahasa Indonesia, masing-masing 150–200 kata)
  4. Kata kunci (maks. 5 kata)
  5. Pendahuluan
  6. Metode
  7. Hasil dan Pembahasan
  8. Simpulan dan Saran
  9. Daftar Pustaka (format APA Style, minimal 5 referensi, 3 di antaranya primer & 10 tahun terakhir)

4. Ilustrasi dan Tabel

  • Gambar dan tabel diberi nomor serta keterangan (caption) sesuai ketentuan template.
  • Gambar berkualitas tinggi, jelas, dan dapat dibaca dengan baik.
  • Tabel hanya memuat data ringkas, tanpa paragraf panjang.

5. Hak Redaksi

  • Redaksi berhak menolak atau mengedit naskah tanpa mengubah substansi.
  • Naskah yang tidak memenuhi ketentuan akan dikembalikan untuk revisi.
  • Naskah diskusi yang ditolak akan dikembalikan untuk ditanggapi oleh penulis.

6. Proses Review

  • Semua naskah melewati peer review oleh minimal dua reviewer.
  • Keputusan akhir didasarkan pada rekomendasi reviewer dan pertimbangan dewan redaksi.
